If you have chalk at home, create a number line on your sidewalk. Tell your student to run to number 4. Then say to add 2 more, so they will take 2 steps to number 6. Try with a lot of different numbers using the language "more/less". If you do not have chalk, you could put written paper numbers on the ground or use a long piece of masking tape.
